Nuclear Training Instructor
Work Location: New Mexico - Onsite or Remote with as-needed trips to the site
Duration: 11+ months
Rate: $100.00/hr to $107/hr w2 (non-exempt)
Hours: Full time / 40 hours (onsite)
Per diem: $178.00/day (7 days per week)
Mob / Demob: $750.00 each way ($1,500.00 total)
Trip Home: 1 paid trip home per month
US Citizenship Required
Job Responsibilities:
• Develop and deliver engaging and effective training programs for personnel involved in nuclear operations, including nuclear engineers, technicians, and support staff.
• Utilize a variety of instructional techniques and formats to accommodate diverse learning styles, ensuring that training content is engaging, informative, and relevant to the needs of the participants.
• Collaborate with the Nuclear Training Coordinator and subject matter experts to develop and update training materials, curriculum, and assessments.
• Conduct training sessions, workshops, and exercises, ensuring that all content is delivered in accordance with established learning objectives and regulatory standards.
• Monitor and assess the effectiveness of training programs, gathering feedback from participants and stakeholders to continuously improve training content and delivery methods.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and technological advancements relevant to nuclear operations and training.
• Assist in the development and implementation of emergency response and safety training exercises for nuclear incidents.
• Keep accurate records of training activities, attendance, and assessments, and contribute to the preparation of training reports as required.
Education/Experience Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in nuclear engineering, education, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Proven experience as a trainer or instructor, preferably in a technical or nuclear-related field.
• In-depth understanding of nuclear operations, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical information to diverse audiences.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to develop and deliver training programs.
• Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage training schedules, materials, and assessments effectively.
• Familiarity with learning management systems and other training-related software tools
