ReNuke Services is seeking a Construction Specialist IV for our client's site in Salem, SC!
Description:
The Construction Manager is responsible for supporting all Hydro West projects. This support centers around resource coordination, field oversight, and project planning as outlined below:
Resource Coordination:
Coordinate project support resources including Implementation Managers (IMs) and contractors.
- Lead weekly meetings to coordinate IM field coverage.
- Communicate weekly resource plan to stakeholders.
- Build relationships with IMs to establish healthy working culture.
- Interface between Station Superintendents, Project Managers, and other stakeholders.
- Act as IM in emergent situations such as employee sickness.
- Work with regional manager of projects to identify IM staffing needs for current and future project support.
- Onboard and train new IMs by providing orientation and job expectations.
Field Oversight:
Ensure project construction meets objectives for safety, environmental, regulatory, and quality.
- Attend project construction kick-off meetings.
- Periodically perform site visits during construction phase.
- Document observations in the Duke Energy observation database periodically (1 observation/week minimum)
- Provide additional on-site oversight during high risk evolutions (i.e., critical lifts, diving, etc.)
- Gain proficiency in Duke Energy Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards.
- Collaborate with peers to share operating experience and best practices.
Project Planning and Feasibility:
Participate in project planning and feasibility including the following:
- Attend project scoping meetings and field walkdowns as needed to provide input on scope and feasibility of work scopes.
- Review drawings, specifications, and other documentation as needed to provide input during pre-construction planning.
- Attend readiness review meetings to ensure construction plan incorporates appropriate standards, risk mitigation, and overall state of readiness to begin field work.
Requirements:
Supports a diverse Construction and Maintenance team to achieve company objectives and is responsible for the execution of construction, maintenance and restoration activities. Possesses leadership skills to support construction, maintenance and restoration activities. Responsible for supporting the execution of the work to meet customer needs. Support management of customer commitment dates and requests to increase customer satisfaction. Ensure the adherence to safe work practices, standards, work methods and procedures.
