Position Summary

Nooter Construction Company is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead engineering, maintenance, modification, capital improvement, and outage projects within the commercial nuclear power industry. The Project Manager will be responsible for safely delivering projects on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with NRC regulations, quality assurance requirements, and client expectations.

The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership skills, extensive nuclear project management experience, and a proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams in highly regulated environments.

Primary Responsibilities
Manage all phases of nuclear projects from initiation through closeout.
Develop project execution plans, schedules, budgets, staffing plans, and risk mitigation strategies.
Lead engineering, procurement, construction, maintenance, and outage activities.
Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with quality requirements.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders.
Manage project financial performance, including forecasting, cost control, invoicing, and profitability.
Coordinate multidisciplinary teams consisting of engineering, construction, quality assurance, project controls, and procurement personnel.
Review and approve project schedules developed in Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
Identify project risks and implement mitigation and recovery plans.
Oversee contract administration, change management, and scope control.
Ensure compliance with NRC regulations, NQA-1 quality standards, site procedures, and company policies.
Lead project meetings and provide executive-level status reports.
Support outage planning and execution activities for refueling and maintenance outages.
Manage subcontractors and ensure work is performed safely and in accordance with contract requirements.
Promote a strong nuclear safety culture and human performance principles.
Mentor junior project managers, engineers, and project coordinators.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
7–10+ years of project management experience.
5+ years managing commercial nuclear power projects.
Demonstrated experience managing projects valued from $1 million to $50+ million.
Strong understanding of:
Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC)
Nuclear maintenance and modification projects
Capital projects
Refueling outages
Project Controls
Cost Management
Contract Administration
Experience leading cross-functional project teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
Primavera P6 experience
