DUTIES
Operators must be qualified and hired from the local Union hall and hold
journeyman qualification. Operators work with powerful machinery to move earth, prepare sites, and
support large-scale building efforts. This includes operating equipment such as excavators, bulldozers,
loaders, motor graders, and other earthmoving machines essential to construction, transportation, and
public works. Operators play a critical role in shaping job sites, maintaining efficiency, and ensuring work
is completed safely and accurately. This work requires strong technical skill, situational awareness, and a
commitment to safety, as operators often work in close coordination with crews, surveyors, and other
trades. Through training and experience, Operators develop the ability to adapt to a wide range of jobsite
conditions and project demands.
Citizenship:
A. Birth Certificate or certified copy of Birth Certificate issued by a U.S. State or by the U.S. Department of State (Form FS-240);
B. U.S. Passport, issued by the U.S. Department of State;
C. Certificate of U.S. Citizenship issued to a person born outside the United States who derived or acquired U.S. citizenship through a U.S. citizen parent (INS Form N-560 or N-561); or
D. Certificate of Naturalization issued to a person who became a U.S. citizen after 18 years of age through the naturalization process (INS Form N-550 or N-570).
Work Hours:
Work week will be sixty (60) hours per week. Working hours will be defined by the Company.
