Laborer
US Citizenship or Certification Required
DUTIES
Laborers must be qualified and hired from the local Union hall and hold qualifications from the local Union. Laborers are involved in a variety of activities during all phases of construction. Laborer tasks include, but are not limited to, preparing and cleaning up construction sites, using tools such as shovels and brooms. Other laborers, such as those on road crews, may specialize and learn to control traffic patterns or to operate pavement breakers, jackhammers, earth tampers, or surveying equipment, and assisting construction trades workers with a variety of tasks. Laborers may be required to carry tools and materials or help set up equipment assist with tool maintenance, cleaning up sites, and disposing of waste, as well as providing other construction tasks as assigned.
Citizenship:
A. Birth Certificate or certified copy of Birth Certificate issued by a U.S. State or by the U.S. Department of State (Form FS-240);
B. U.S. Passport, issued by the U.S. Department of State;
C. Certificate of U.S. Citizenship issued to a person born outside the United States who derived or acquired U.S. citizenship through a U.S. citizen parent (INS Form N-560 or N-561); or
D. Certificate of Naturalization issued to a person who became a U.S. citizen after 18 years of age through the naturalization process (INS Form N-550 or N-570).
Work Hours:
Work week will be sixty (60) hours per week. Working hours will be defined by the Company.
