Talascend is currently seeking a Test Engineer for a contract opportunity with our client in Bellevue, Washington.

Overview

The test engineer will be responsible for executing testing activities, including test design, documentation, and conducting tests, in a collaborative environment to ensure quality and timely completion of testing projects related to research and development in the nuclear industry.

Responsibilities

Assist in the drafting of test requirements, test designs, and test procedures for experimental work
Assist with data analysis and generate test reports
Support the coordination of testing activities for setup and commissioning of experimental equipment
Support continuous learning and application of industry best practices to maintain high-quality standards
Work closely with internal and external customers to meet testing requirements
Work as part of a team of engineers and technicians to complete testing activities
Handle projects with multiple objectives and resolve conflicts between objectives
Manage multiple tasks concurrently during work weeks
Maintain safety standards and demonstrate trustworthiness and integrity in all tasks

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in applicable field of engineering
Five (5) years of relevant experience in testing, research, and development preferred
Experience working in a laboratory environment
Experience with post-processing and documenting experiments
Experience with multiple types of testing (R&D, acceptance, validation, qualification)
Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams of engineers and scientists
Ability to handle projects with multiple objectives and resolve conflicts
Ability to work on multiple tasks concurrently
Excellent writing and communication skills
Safety-conscious attitude
Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education
