Scheduler - Nuclear

Duration: Initial 1-year
Location: Richland, Washington

Schedule: 4/10 - flexible remote environment after 3-months of assignment.

Position Overview

This opportunity is for a highly technical Scheduler - Nuclear professional to support complex project scheduling within a nuclear power generation environment. The role focuses on delivering accurate, integrated and timely schedules that support daily operations, online work and outage work periods. This position offers the chance to work closely with project teams on lifecycle and enterprise risk-related projects where schedule quality, coordination and critical path awareness are essential. The Scheduler - Nuclear role is well suited to candidates with strong technical scheduling capability and substantial nuclear industry experience.

Role Context

This role sits within a nuclear power generation setting and supports project activity planning across Nuclear or Engineering Projects functions. The working environment involves online, outage and lifecycle project scheduling, with close coordination across plant teams and work groups. This opportunity is positioned within a technically demanding site-based context where schedule accuracy and integration are central to project delivery. The Scheduler - Nuclear will contribute to planning work that supports safe, reliable and cost-effective power generation operations.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain detailed project schedules covering project activities, sequencing and timing for Nuclear or Engineering Projects organisations.

Support project managers with the development of schedules for online work, outage projects, lifecycle schedules and enterprise risk-related activities.

Produce coherent, comprehensive and accurate schedules to support daily, online and outage work periods.

Resolve schedule conflicts and support schedule adherence across multiple work groups and disciplines.

Coordinate with plant teams to develop integrated schedules and establish priorities for schedule activities.

Conduct critical path analysis and support schedule review meetings across interfacing groups.

Contribute to post-work critiques and help drive effective planning and schedule performance.

Communicate technical scheduling information clearly in both written and verbal formats.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential: Bachelor�s degree in a technical field involving Mechanical, Electrical or Nuclear Engineering, or Nuclear Technology, with 8 years of nuclear power generation experience in operations, maintenance, engineering or technical project management.

Essential: OR Associate degree in a relevant technical field with 10 years of nuclear power generation experience in operations, maintenance, engineering or technical project management.

Essential: OR high school diploma or GED with 12 years of nuclear power generation experience in a journey-level craft, qualified watch station, field engineer or quality control position within operations, maintenance, engineering or quality assurance.

Essential: Advanced knowledge of scheduling techniques and advanced scheduling capability relevant to the Scheduler - Nuclear function.

Essential: Ability to work across teams, disciplines and plant organisations to develop integrated plant schedules and manage competing priorities.

Essential: Ability to solve complex problems while minimising schedule conflicts.

Essential: Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical information, concepts and ideas clearly.

Desirable: SRO licence or certification.

Desirable: Advanced knowledge of work management and outage work processes and procedures.

Desirable: Primavera 106 Training Certification or four years of experience using Primavera scheduling software.

Desirable: Working knowledge of report development and database analysis.

Desirable: PMP certification.

Desirable: Demonstrated leadership capability and the ability to maximise performance through leadership.
