Environmental SME (Nuclear)
Work Location: Remote (as-needed trips directed by client)
Rate: Not Defined / need Candidate's requested rate
Hours: 40
Duration: 3-6 months (option to extend)
Expenses: GSA rates max, for as-needed trips directed by client
The required qualifications are as follows:
• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related field
• Direct experience with NEPA categorical exclusions, environmental exemption requests, and environmental reports
• Familiarity with nuclear/DOE regulatory environment strongly preferred; NRC or DOE licensing experience a plus
• Experience supporting Environmental Impact Statements (EIS) a plus, given potential phased EIS follow-on work
• Comfortable working independently
• Flexible, adaptable, and creative problem-solver who can move quickly in a fast-paced, evolving scope environment
Position Details:
• Support an exemption request and environmental report to support a categorical exclusion for the deployable nuclear reactor at the Houston, TX master site
• Coordinate with client and regulatory stakeholders on the categorical exclusion pathway and supporting documentation
• Fully remote engagement; one trip to the site may be required if necessary
