[Superintendent] Mechanical Superintendent

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Superintendent to lead field execution of mechanical construction activities at commercial nuclear power facilities. This position is responsible for safely managing craft labor, subcontractors, schedules, quality, and productivity while ensuring compliance with nuclear industry standards and regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate is a proven leader with extensive experience in nuclear construction, outages, modifications, and capital projects who is committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise all mechanical field activities, including piping, structural steel, equipment installation, pumps, valves, heat exchangers, and other balance-of-plant systems.
Direct craft personnel, subcontractors, and field foremen to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
Plan daily and weekly work activities in coordination with project management and scheduling teams.
Review engineering drawings, specifications, work packages, and procedures to ensure proper execution.
Ensure compliance with NRC requirements, plant procedures, QA/QC requirements, and site-specific safety programs.
Coordinate with engineering, planning, operations, radiation protection, quality assurance, and client representatives.
Identify and resolve field issues while minimizing schedule impacts.
Monitor productivity, manpower utilization, equipment needs, and material availability.
Conduct daily safety meetings, toolbox talks, and field inspections.
Support outage planning, project forecasting, and progress reporting.
Maintain accurate field documentation, reports, and project records.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
Minimum 10 years of mechanical construction experience.
Minimum 5 years in a superintendent or field leadership role on industrial or nuclear construction projects.
Demonstrated experience working at commercial nuclear power plants.

Strong knowledge of:
ASME Codes
Nuclear Quality Assurance requirements
Mechanical installation practices
Heavy equipment rigging and lifting
Piping systems
Equipment installation
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and construction schedules.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and construction reporting software.
