We’re seeking a Project Planner / Scheduler to support capital and modernization projects at a commercial nuclear generating station. This role owns integrated project schedules and planning deliverables that enable safe, compliant execution across engineering, procurement, construction, and outage windows.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain integrated, resource- and cost-informed project schedules from early planning through closeout.
Build schedule logic, WBS, activity coding, and baselines; manage critical path and float.
Lead schedule reviews with stakeholders (Project Managers, Engineering, Construction, Outage, Procurement) and drive corrective actions.
Produce routine schedule deliverables: look-aheads, milestone tracking, variance analyses, “what-if” scenarios, and schedule narratives.
Integrate vendor and contractor schedules; ensure alignment to site constraints and outage windows.
Support change control: evaluate schedule impacts from scope changes, RFIs, emergent issues, and risk events.
Coordinate schedule integration with cost (earned value or progress measurement, as applicable), progress updates, and reporting.
Ensure work planning aligns with nuclear governance requirements (documentation control, QA expectations, procedure adherence, configuration management interfaces).
Maintain planning/scheduling standards and contribute to continuous improvement (templates, coding structure, reporting cadence).

Required Qualifications
5+ years of project planning experience in a regulated industrial environment (nuclear strongly preferred).
Experience supporting capital projects (engineering/design, procurement, construction/installation, commissioning).
Demonstrated ability to communicate schedule risk, drive updates, and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
Strong Excel/reporting skills; disciplined documentation habits and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications
Prior commercial nuclear utility or nuclear EPC experience (mods, large capital, outage-tied projects).
Familiarity with nuclear project controls practices (baseline management, change control, progress measurement, EV concepts).
Experience coordinating with outage planning teams and integrating work into outage milestones.
Knowledge of nuclear QA and configuration management interfaces (as they affect project schedules and turnover).
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Controls, or equivalent experience.
Work Environment
Onsite at nuclear facility with potential hybrid flexibility depending on client/site policy
Additional hours during outage windows, key milestones, or recovery schedules
Must meet site access requirements (background/drug screening as applicable)
What Success Looks Like
Accurate baselines and reliable forecasts with clear critical path visibility
On-time schedule updates, actionable variance narratives, and proactive risk flagging
Improved milestone performance through stakeholder alignment and disciplined change control
