[Cost Engineer] Immediate Need - Cost Engineer - TX

Allied Power Services is currently seeking a Cost Engineer to support their nuclear contract in Texas.
Job Overview:

Supports the Site Core Team with input and maintenance of site financial information in the cost management system. Manages the timeline, budget and risks of the work performed.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

• Maintains Cost Management System
• Verify charges and process weekly invoices
• Prepare weekly/monthly reports for Core Team, Senior Leadership Team and Client
• Provides analysis of cost variances and trends, assists with contingency tracking and risk monitoring
• Tracks work scope funding and timely payment authorization of invoices
• Supports creation and maintenance of Outage Load Boards
• Prepares Daily Outage Cost Reports
• Forecast cost projections and identifies cost trends for management attention
• Tracks project progress through the earned value process
• Develops resource / cash flow plans to project future resource needs
• Demonstrates skill in identifying, analyzing, and providing solutions to cost engineering problems
• Ability to support payroll as needed


Required Qualifications:

• 3-5 years’ experience with cost controls processes
• Required to have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in cost controls
• Proficient in select Microsoft Office programs – Access, Excel, Outlook

Desired/Preferred Qualifications:

• Nuclear experience is preferred

• May require wearing personal protective safety equipment
• Lift, carry, position and/or equipment (weighing up to 25 lbs.)
