[Estimator] Estimator-Power

We are seeking an Estimator � Power to support construction estimating across our Nuclear and Fossil/Gas divisions. This position develops accurate, competitive estimates for power generation construction, maintenance, outages, plant modifications, and capital projects.

The Estimator will work closely with operations, project management, engineering, procurement, and business development to develop estimates that reflect project scope, execution strategy, schedule, productivity, and risk.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed estimates for nuclear and fossil/gas power projects.
Review RFPs, drawings, specifications, P&IDs, isometrics, and scopes of work.
Develop labor-hour, material, equipment, subcontract, and indirect cost estimates.
Perform quantity takeoffs and evaluate construction means, methods, crew compositions, and productivity.
Estimate mechanical scopes including piping, welding, equipment, valves, supports, rigging, demolition, and plant modifications.
Estimate electrical and instrumentation scopes including power distribution, cable tray, conduit, cable and wire, terminations, equipment connections, grounding, lighting, controls, and instrumentation.
Account for project-specific conditions including outages, access restrictions, radiological controls, security requirements, and other productivity impacts.
Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing.
Identify scope gaps, assumptions, exclusions, risks, and opportunities.
Participate in bid reviews and support proposal development and project handoff.
Use historical project performance and lessons learned to continuously improve estimating accuracy.

Qualifications
Experience in construction estimating, project controls, engineering, project management, or field construction.
Strong knowledge of industrial mechanical construction and estimating.
Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and estimating tools.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Experience in commercial nuclear, fossil, natural gas, or other power generation construction preferred.
Commercial nuclear estimating or field experience is highly desirable.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent industry experience will be considered.

Travel
Travel may be required for site visits, pre-bid meetings, project planning, and field support. Candidates must be able to meet applicable power facility access and, when required, commercial nuclear security and fitness-for-duty requirements.
