This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the design and development of next-generation nuclear technology while working remotely with a highly skilled team of engineers and scientists.

The Primary Heat Transfer (PHT) Engineer will focus on the design and analysis of complex fluid systems and will play a key role in developing major plant systems from conceptual design through final implementation. This position is ideal for engineers with strong mechanical systems expertise, thermal-hydraulic analysis experience, and a background in large-scale industrial, power generation, or nuclear projects.

Responsibilities
Design nuclear and industrial process systems and subsystems from requirements development through final design.
Perform engineering analyses supporting system design, including thermal-hydraulic, structural, and performance evaluations using analytical and software-based methods.
Apply industry codes and standards such as ASME, ANS, ASTM, IEEE, and NFPA to system designs.
Provide technical guidance to engineering teams regarding system design requirements and applicable standards.
Analyze and allocate regulatory and design requirements to complex mechanical and process systems.
Support project planning and maintain schedule adherence for assigned design activities.
Develop and manage engineering drawing packages including P&IDs, 3D models, and interface drawings.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams including mechanical, civil, I&C, process, and nuclear engineering.
Support supplier oversight activities, technical reviews, and delivery of engineering products.
Develop and maintain system requirements, specifications, and engineering design documentation.
Support system testing programs, qualification efforts, and evaluation of test results.
Create engineering calculations, design reports, equipment specifications, and design packages.
Develop and review technical documents such as System Design Descriptions, Interface Control Documents, and Engineering Design Specifications.
Support licensing-related activities and engineering reviews.
Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous design improvement efforts.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
Minimum 6 years of engineering experience involving complex mechanical or fluid systems.
Demonstrated experience designing complex fluid systems and using fluid flow modeling or simulation software.
Strong understanding of system design, engineering analysis, and design documentation.
Excellent technical writing, communication, and presentation skills.
Ability to work independently while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with centrifugal pump design, operation, or analysis.
Experience with shell-and-tube heat exchangers and thermal system design.
Experience writing equipment specifications for large capital projects.
Nuclear power, advanced reactor, energy, chemical processing, or large industrial project experience.
Familiarity with engineering design reviews, testing programs, and system qualification activities.
Experience supporting regulatory or licensing activities.
