Rate: $65.00/hr to $80.00/hr non-exempt
Hours: Full time / 40 hours (onsite)
Per diem: $178.00/day (for days working onsite only)
Expenses: Allowed for travel to and from work location

Position Details/Scope of Work:
Sourcing & Category Management:
• Exhibit expert influencing and negotiation skills alongside key technical competencies relating to procurement transactional planning, commercial contract management, and supplier relationship management
• Lead the development of medium to long term plans to provide clarity on the vision, strategy, and implementation processes ensuring value delivery (lower costs, mitigated risk, supply assurance) through detailed understanding of business requirements, supply market dynamics, and impacts.
• Complete projects in accordance with strategic alliances to drive optimal value in supplier deliveries based on program, schedule, and budget, at minimum
• Deliver the annual Procurement Value Plan through category plan project realization and support to business partner nominated projects to meet site needs
• Share knowledge of new and modified products/services in collaboration with relevant stakeholders
• Lead supplier visits and surveillances to evaluate potential and existing suppliers and ensure they comply with procedures and policies, fostering mutually rewarding relationships
• Advise/Lead on bid evaluation approach to validate supplier selection
Supplier Management:
• Develop, evaluate, and manage internal relationships to optimize external legal, business, and financial positions
• Lead the development and maintenance of preferred supplier lists
• Demonstrate effective and measurable supplier management methods and performance metrics are applied to all high risk and/or high value suppliers through supplier management programs
• Lead supplier negotiations and consult with all operating and buying sites for their requirements to ensure global demand is leveraged
• Effectively resolve issues/problems with suppliers such as relationship, quality, cost and delivery, implementing corrective actions/ measures for improvements
• Implement effective and sustainable supplier management programs
Contract Management:
• Lead the development, review, negotiation, execution, management, and documentation of significant and complex contracts and contract amendments in accordance with policies and procedures to drive value
• Develop and plan supplier relationship and contract management to ensure suppliers meet their contractual obligations, and the value expected from a contract is fully delivered throughout the lifecycle
• Continually improve the values of contracts to capture optimal, sustainable cost-savings
• Manage commercial negotiations with relevant suppliers and liaise with stakeholders and legal to ensure favorable commercial terms which mitigate business risk.
• Work with suppliers and cross functional teams to resolve problems effectively and agree to appropriate contract changes by applying effective performance metrics
Customer Relationship Management:
• Develop and maintain partnerships with key stakeholders, business partners, and senior leaders to gain support and cooperation in the delivery of sourcing projects and the category plan to drive savings and performance improvement
• Work with customers to ensure an effective, collaborative view of business strategies, portfolios of projects, annual / project budgets, and priorities with realistic expectations are formed on all sides
• Manage Business Partner Relationships to ensure their needs are fully met and change management is efficient and effective
• Work with Group and Site Category Lead peers to ensure the category plans are fully integrated and consistent with business needs
• Ensure that full and appropriate management information is shared and leveraged across the category network
• Place contracts efficiently and timely to support plant needs
• Maintain outstanding customer engagement through Measures of Success utilization
• Ensure change management (a key challenge in the role) is efficient and effective to guarantee sustainable value delivery
Education/Experience Requirements:
Minimum Requirements:
• Seven (7) years procurement experience including: Five (5) years supplier management experience with an emphasis in global procurement and Three (3) years strategic procurement.
• Associate’s degree, Bachelor's degree preferred
• Experience in sourcing, negotiation, and management of spend categories
• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point) and SAP
• A proven track record of working with senior stakeholders
• Exhibit the characteristics of a nuclear professional: high work standards, questioning attitude, conservative decision-making, and striving for excellence in all aspects of a job
• Teamwork, Integrity, Accountability, Time Management, Attention to Detail, Analytical Thinking
• Good verbal and written communication skills, customer service orientation
