Provide services and support as an Engineering Functional Area Civil/Structural Engineer (Civil-Structural Analyst) (DS108) under Labor Category: Civil Structural Analyst at Savannah River Site / Aiken, South Carolina. Civil/Structural Engineer (Civil-Structural Analyst) - Engineering (DS108) work collaboratively as part of the ProSidian Engagement Team as Exempt personnel.

Dedicated Planned Labor Hours (DPLH) of 2080 Straight Time (ST) Estimated Annual Quantity (Hrs. Per Yr.) | 200 Overtime Time (OT) Estimated Annual Quantity (Hrs. Per Yr.).
This is a Labor Hour Subcontract or Contract W-2 (IRS-1099) Position, and ProSidian reserves the right to convert to a Full-Time ProSidian-employed W-2 Position.
The role(s) are located at Savannah River Site / Aiken, South Carolina with identified Work Site Address (121 Richland Ave E, Aiken, SC 29801, USA) providing Engineering functions working to provide BOA Support Services for multiple department requirement Service Areas (SA) for Savannah River Remediation LLC (The SRMC/LW Contractor) at the U.S. Department of Energy | Savannah River Site (DOE-SRS) in Aiken, SC to support the evolving needs of the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES -
Civil/Structural Engineer (Civil-Structural Analyst) - Engineering (DS108)

Civil-Structural Analysts perform advanced structural analyses of various structures to validate their design adequacy for normal operation and accident loading conditions.
Advanced structural analytical capabilities include the ability to perform the following:

Seismic Soil-Structure Interaction (SSI);
Dynamic seismic analysis (response spectra and time-history);
Development of in-structure seismic response spectra, and to evaluate structural responses for tornado winds, missile penetration, precipitation (rain, flood, snow), and explosion (blast/detonation and deflagration).
Engineering services will be provided in accordance with SRR processes and procedures. Programmatic guidance will be provided by SRR.

Primary Duty: Perform advanced structural analyses of various structures to validate design adequacy for normal operation and accident loading conditions.

Advanced structural analysis responsibilities include:

Perform Seismic Soil-Structure Interaction (SSI) analyses.
Perform dynamic seismic analyses, including response-spectrum and time-history methods.
Develop in-structure seismic response spectra.
Evaluate structural responses for tornado wind loading.
Evaluate missile penetration effects.
Evaluate precipitation-related loading and effects, including rain, flood, and snow.
Evaluate explosion loading and structural response, including blast/detonation and deflagration.
Perform field walk-downs of structural systems as required to support engineering evaluations.
Execution Environment:

Engineering services will be provided in accordance with SRR processes and procedures.
Programmatic guidance will be provided by SRR.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience /Skills:

Candidate must demonstrate a minimum of eight (8) years' experience in the design and analysis of nuclear or industrial facilities.
Candidate must demonstrate a working knowledge of STAAD, ANSYS, ABAQUS, SASSI, DYNA3D or similar computer codes.
Candidate must demonstrate a sound working knowledge of National Codes and Standards such as IBC, AISC (ASD, LRFD, & N690), ASCE, ACI (318 & 349).
Candidate must be able to perform field walk-downs of structural systems.
Experience Requirement: Minimum eight (8) years of experience in the design and analysis of nuclear or industrial facilities.

Working knowledge of advanced structural analysis software/codes such as STAAD, ANSYS, ABAQUS, SASSI, DYNA3D, or similar computer codes.
Sound working knowledge of applicable National Codes and Standards, including IBC; AISC (ASD, LRFD, and N690); ASCE; and ACI (318 and 349).
Ability to perform field walk-downs of structural systems.
Demonstrated capability to perform advanced analyses for normal-operation and accident-loading conditions.
Ability to work within SRR engineering processes, procedures, and programmatic guidance.
Education / Experience Requirements / Qualifications

MS Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, or BS Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering and current registration as a Professional Engineer in either Civil or Structural Engineering.
Education Requirement — One Of The Following:

MS Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering; OR
BS Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering AND current registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in either Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Working knowledge of advanced structural analysis software/codes such as STAAD, ANSYS, ABAQUS, SASSI, DYNA3D, or similar computer codes.

Work week excludes SRR holidays. Each work day has a 30-minute lunch.
