Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Work Planner opportunity to support the Savannah River Site.

Work Location: Aiken, SC

Work Planner-

The Work Planner will support a multi-year construction project involving significant civil, mechanical, piping, electrical, and site infrastructure construction.

Duties:

Develop detailed construction work packages for assigned mechanical, piping, electrical, and site infrastructure activities.
Review drawings, specifications, procedures, schedules, and technical requirements to establish work scope and execution requirements.
Develop work instructions, construction sequencing, prerequisites, material requirements, inspection points, testing requirements, and required work controls.
Plan work involving one or more of the following disciplines: process piping, firewater, service water, electrical systems, ductbanks, and associated site infrastructure.
Coordinate work package development with Construction, Field Engineering, Engineering, Quality, Safety, Scheduling, Procurement, and other project organizations.
Identify required permits, inspections, testing, LOTO/isolation requirements, materials, equipment, and other prerequisites prior to work release.
Perform field walkdowns to verify scope, constructability, system conditions, and work package requirements.
Identify field conflicts, missing information, material constraints, and other issues that could affect execution.
Incorporate engineering changes, field conditions, quality requirements, and applicable work controls into work packages.
Support work package revisions, field changes, completion documentation, and closeout.
Maintain accurate work planning documentation and status information.


Skills/Experience:

Minimum 3 years of work planning, construction planning, field engineering, construction supervision, or related industrial construction experience.
Experience developing or executing construction work packages.
Experience supporting one or more of the following: Process piping, firewater, service water, or mechanical systems OR electrical systems, ductbanks, conduit, cable, or electrical infrastructure
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, procedures, and technical requirements.
Knowledge of construction sequencing, materials, inspections, testing, and work controls.
Experience performing field walkdowns and coordinating construction activities with multiple project disciplines.


Preferred Qualifications:

Associate's or bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related technical field.
Previous DOE, nuclear, industrial, or highly regulated construction experience.
Experience with formal work control or work package processes.
Experience planning piping installation, welding, pressure testing, flushing, or mechanical system turnover.
Experience planning ductbank, conduit, grounding, cable installation, electrical testing, or electrical system turnover.
Experience with LOTO and system isolation requirements.
