Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Materials Manager opportunity to support the Savannah River Site.
Work Location: Aiken, SC
Materials Lead-
The Materials Lead will support a multi-year construction project involving significant civil, mechanical, piping, electrical, and site infrastructure construction.
Duties:
Support the Materials Manager in coordinating day-to-day project materials activities.
Lead receiving, storage, preservation, inventory, staging, and issuance of construction materials and equipment.
Coordinate incoming deliveries with Procurement, Receipt Inspection, Quality, Construction, and warehouse personnel.
Verify materials are properly identified, documented, stored, protected, and traceable in accordance with project requirements.
Maintain accurate inventory, material status, location, and issuance records.
Coordinate material availability and staging to support construction schedules and work priorities.
Ensure materials requiring special handling, storage, environmental controls, or preservation are properly maintained.
Identify damaged, missing, discrepant, or nonconforming materials and coordinate resolution with Quality and Procurement.
Support material receiving documentation, Certificates of Conformance, Certified Material Test Reports, and other required material records.
Coordinate material transfers, returns, surplus, and disposition activities.
Provide daily direction and work coordination to material handlers, warehouse personnel, or other assigned staff.
Support material reconciliations, audits, inventories, and project turnover activities.
Skills/Experience:
Minimum 5 years of materials management, warehousing, logistics, procurement support, or related experience on industrial or large-scale construction projects.
Experience with receiving, storage, preservation, inventory control, material issuance, and construction material coordination.
Experience maintaining material identification, documentation, and traceability.
Experience working with construction materials, equipment, and technical documentation.
Ability to coordinate material priorities with Procurement, Quality, Construction, and project planning personnel.
Experience with electronic materials management, inventory, or ERP systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate's or bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Construction Management, Business, or a related field.
Previous DOE, nuclear, EPC, or highly regulated construction experience.
Experience with quality-controlled or traceable construction materials.
Experience working with Receipt Inspection and resolving material discrepancies or nonconformances.
Experience with piping, mechanical, electrical, civil, and/or structural construction materials.
Previous lead or supervisory materials/warehouse experience.
Previous Savannah River Site or other DOE site experience.
