Radiological Program SME Consultant (Remote)
Project Details: Small Modular Reactor Project
Work Location: Remote
Duration: 6-8 weeks (short term project)
Rate: Up to $95.00/hr non-exempt (dependent on experience level)
Hours: 10-20 hours per week

Position Overview: Client has an internally-developed radiological control (RadCon) program and needs an experienced third-party reviewer to evaluate it. This is a practical, program-adequacy review: identify gaps, flag anything missing or incorrect, and recommend fixes.

Essential Responsibilities:
• Review existing RadCon program documentation for completeness and technical adequacy
• Identify missing elements, deficiencies, or incorrect content
• Provide clear, actionable feedback the internal team can implement
• Available for follow-up consultation as revisions are made

Qualifications:
• Extensive hands-on experience building, implementing, or auditing radiological protection/RadCon programs in commercial nuclear or DOE-licensed environments
• Practical, applied expertise over academic/theoretical background
• Familiarity with NRC licensing requirements a plus (client is transitioning from DOE oversight toward NRC licensing)
• Comfortable working independently and fully remote
