Compensation
Former NRC Licensed Reactor Operators: $60–$75/hour + 1.5x OT
Non-Licensed Reactor Operators / Nuclear Operators: $50–$63/hour + 1.5x OT
Per Diem: $890/week for eligible travelers
Mobilization/demobilization assistance
Periodic trips home
Potential for approximately 8 hours of overtime per week
Project Overview

We are seeking experienced Reactor Operators and Nuclear Operations professionals to support a major commercial nuclear project involving the reactivation and restart of a retired/decommissioned nuclear generating station.

This is a unique opportunity to participate in bringing a previously shut-down nuclear facility back into operation. The team will provide hands-on operational support as the facility progresses through system restoration, plant readiness, testing, training, and restart activities.

This is not primarily a supervisory or classroom-based position. We are looking for experienced nuclear professionals who can contribute directly to plant execution, system operations, equipment status control, clearances, system lineups, field operations, work-impact reviews, and operational decision support.

Key Responsibilities
Provide hands-on Operations support during plant restoration and restart activities.
Perform and support equipment manipulations, system alignments, lineups, and operational evolutions.
Develop, review, and execute equipment clearances, tag-outs, isolation boundaries, and clearance orders.
Evaluate work orders and maintenance activities for operational impact and plant risk.
Verify equipment status, system availability, and plant configuration.
Read and interpret P&IDs, system prints, flow diagrams, electrical one-lines, valve lineups, and operating procedures.
Support system testing, troubleshooting, surveillance activities, startup preparations, and operational readiness.
Maintain equipment status and configuration control during maintenance and restoration activities.
Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Work Management teams.
Support safe and compliant plant operations in accordance with station procedures and nuclear industry requirements.
Qualifications
5+ years of commercial nuclear power plant Operations experience preferred.
Previous experience as a Reactor Operator, Non-Licensed Operator, Auxiliary Operator, Equipment Operator, Nuclear Operator, or similar plant Operations professional.
Former NRC RO license highly desirable but not required for all positions.
Commercial BWR experience strongly preferred; PWR experience may also be considered.
Hands-on experience with plant systems, equipment operations, and system configuration.
Experience with clearance orders, tagging/tag-outs, isolation boundaries, and/or system lineups.
Understanding of equipment status control and operational impacts associated with maintenance activities.
Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, system prints, electrical one-lines, and operating procedures.
Experience working within commercial nuclear Conduct of Operations and NRC-regulated environments.
Preferred Background

Candidates with experience supporting BWR commercial nuclear facilities are particularly well aligned. Previous experience with outages, major plant modifications, commissioning, recovery efforts, plant restarts, or complex system configuration activities is also highly desirable.

We are particularly interested in experienced operators who enjoy the hands-on operational side of nuclear power and can quickly contribute with minimal ramp-up.
