Program Manager (NASP)

Program Manager Nuclear Project Performance (NASP / SPP Functional Area)
Reporting / Key Interfaces

This role reports to a Nuclear Asset Sustainability Projects (NASP) Manager and interfaces with senior stakeholders across the enterprise, including:

SVPs, VPs, GMs, Directors
Plant Management
Engineering
Finance / EPMO
Information Technology
The Program Manager partners with these groups to assess and improve project performance across the organization.

Key Responsibilities (Assigned SPP-19 Series Functional Area)
Governance, Procedures & Standardization
Maintain procedures, process documents, and guidance current with industry standards, the Nuclear Quality Assurance Plan, and regulatory requirements.
Participate in developing new processes and procedures that support project performance requirements.

Coordinate with the Manager to obtain program and process change approvals.
Drive standardization and continuous process improvement across all project management organizations.

SME Support & Stakeholder Leadership
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and provide recommendations to support decision-making.
Facilitate peer team / working group meetings.
Collaborate across the enterprise to maintain strong technical expertise and business acumen to ensure processes are effective, successful, and fully documented within a standardized procedure system and hierarchy.

Oversight, Compliance & Corrective Actions
Develop and execute oversight, benchmarking, and self-assessment plans.
Lead compliance efforts to ensure project execution organizations adhere to Project Management SPP requirements.
Use the Corrective Action Program (CAP) and Issue Resolution Program to address deficiencies and improve program performance.
Promote accountability for closing performance gaps and achieving excellence.
Performance Measurement & Continuous Improvement
Oversee program KPIs and performance metrics, including project/program reporting requirements.
Oversee accountability and performance measurement systems to analyze, monitor, and trend key performance indicators.
Partner with key stakeholders to lead performance improvement initiatives.
Coordinate post-project reviews for significant projects to capture lessons learned and implement best practices into future work.
Tools, Risk Escalation & Training
Participate in evaluating and implementing project and/or program management tools.
Communicate and escalate issues that pose nuclear safety, regulatory, personal safety, and/or financial risk.
Identify training needs for self and others (employees and contractors).
Perform other duties as assigned.


Minimum Requirements
Education
B.S. degree in engineering, nuclear operations, engineering technology, math, physics, chemistry, information technologies, data science, or related science
OR an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
Experience
5+ years of power utility and related business/professional experience.
1+ year in increased responsibility leading program/project teams and/or in project management.
Demonstrated knowledge of project and/or program management techniques.
Ability to define and resolve complex problems beyond existing methodologies and discipline boundaries.

Certification / Work Requirements
Must obtain and maintain eligibility for nuclear plant unescorted access.
Must be willing to participate in on-call rotational assignments (24/7 availability as needed).
Must be able to serve as a Project Control Center Manager when assigned.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Working knowledge of management techniques and human relations skills to guide project/program teams toward goals.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proven ability to build effective working relationships across diverse organizations.
Ability to interpret broad policy matters and translate them into practical guidance for project management personnel.
Demonstrated ability to contribute to team cohesiveness, effectiveness, and overall success.
