Our client is seeking experienced Licensed Reactor Operator Consultants to provide direct operational support at a commercial BWR nuclear generating station during an extended operator training initiative.

Approximately 70 of 80 Operations personnel are participating in training programs, creating a need for highly skilled operators capable of immediately contributing to daily plant operations.

This is a hands-on operating position focused on maintaining safe and reliable plant operations. The successful candidate will possess strong BWR operational knowledge, understand plant system interactions, execute equipment manipulations, perform operational assessments, evaluate work impacts, develop and implement clearances, and support control room activities.

The ideal candidate is a "doer" with extensive commercial nuclear operations experience who can quickly integrate into shift operations and contribute immediately.

Key Responsibilities
• Operate reactor and plant systems in accordance with approved station procedures.
• Monitor reactor, turbine, electrical, and supporting plant systems.
• Perform equipment manipulations, system alignments, and operational evolutions.
• Review and develop equipment clearance boundaries and isolation plans.
• Prepare, verify, and execute tag-outs, lockouts, and clearance orders.
• Evaluate work orders and maintenance activities for operational impact and plant risk.
• Assess system availability and equipment status prior to maintenance activities.
• Interpret P&IDs, system drawings, electrical one-lines, valve lineups, and operating procedures.
• Verify plant configurations and system alignments.
• Support plant startups, shutdowns, surveillance testing, and troubleshooting activities.
• Identify equipment deficiencies and abnormal operating conditions.
• Coordinate closely with Maintenance, Work Management, Engineering, and Operations personnel.
• Ensure compliance with Technical Specifications, Conduct of Operations standards, and NRC requirements.
• Maintain accurate operating logs and documentation.

Required Qualifications
• Previously held NRC Reactor Operator License.
• Minimum 5 years of commercial nuclear plant Operations experience.
• Demonstrated BWR operating experience strongly preferred.
