[Project Manager] Senior Project Managers

Our Nuclear Client Major Projects Group, in the Southeast USA, is requesting the following.

Overview:
Senior Project Manager shall oversee the successful implementation and launch of the assigned project(s). The primary responsibilities shall include meeting with internal and external stakeholders to review project plans, coordinating with different teams and departments regarding timelines, and presenting project initiatives to senior executives. Also, ensure that all members of the project team work collaboratively and individually to create a deliverable that meets the clients’ or stakeholders’ expectations.

Duties and responsibilities may include:
- Defining project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business objectives in collaboration with the senior leadership team and internal stakeholders
- Establishing effective and appropriate project governance for the project
- Producing and maintaining a project plan while conducting the project within constraints of the framework used by different delivery teams
- Developing full-scale project plans and associated communications documents
- Planning and scheduling project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools
- Estimating the resources and participants required to achieve project goals
- Ensuring proper financial management of the project
- Ensuring proper risk management by documenting all risks and employing an effective mitigation strategy

Prerequisite skills and qualifications:
- Excellent organization and presentation skills
- Firm knowledge of project management methodologies and tools
- Ability to implement and support complex enterprise software systems
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent vendor management and negotiation skills
- Ability to influence and foster an environment of shared accountability
- Ability to collaborate with people, processes, and systems
- Ability to be flexible and highly adaptive in a fast-paced environment

Experience
- As a minimum at least seven to ten years of prior experience working as a Project Manager within the Nuclear Power Station Major or special Project environment
- Have experience supervising and working with multiple teams in different business environments
- Have prior experience managing all phases of a digital campaign

Education
- Minimum, a bachelor’s degree, preferable in Engineering (business, public administration, or a related field could be considered)
- A Project Manager Professional (PMP) certification is requested but not mandatory if the experience level above is satisfied
- Additional certification in project management specialties, such as the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) designation, is acceptable
