Overview

This is a field-based role focused on inspection, validation, troubleshooting, and real-time problem-solving within a commercial/industrial MEP construction environment.

Key Responsibilities
Perform onsite engineering support during active construction
Conduct visual inspections to ensure safety and compliance with standards
Validate work against engineering calculations, specifications, and codes
Respond to emergent issues (e.g., water pooling, installation conflicts, system failures)
Troubleshoot field problems and develop practical, real-time solutions
Support onsite changes and modifications as construction progresses
Answer contractor and field team questions; provide technical guidance
Ensure all work aligns with MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) design standards
Collaborate with project teams to maintain quality and schedule
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Structural)
Experience working on new construction builds (commercial or industrial)
Strong familiarity with MEP systems and construction environments
Ability to operate effectively in field conditions
Proven experience handling emergent responses and troubleshooting onsite issues
Comfortable working around active construction sites
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in industrial or energy-related projects
Background in fuel, manufacturing, or large-scale facility construction
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills in dynamic environments
