Project Scheduler
Work Location:  Full Time on Site, New Mexico
Duration: 11+ months  
Rate: is open and non-exempt 
Hours: Full time / 40 hours (onsite)
Per diem: $178.00/day (7 days per week)
Mob / Demob: $750.00 each way ($1,500.00 total)
Trip Home: 1 paid trip home per month
US Citizenship Required

Position Details: Seeking a Senior Project Scheduler to act as the lead scheduling resource for a major expansion project. The Senior Project Scheduler will direct and support the development, maintenance, analysis, and reporting of integrated project schedules to enable successful project delivery. The Senior Project Scheduler provides advanced scheduling expertise, supports portfolio planning activities, and serves as a primary scheduling contact for project teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Actively promote a proactive safety culture throughout the project lifecycle and across all project teams.
  • Serve as the lead scheduling resource for assigned projects and provide scheduling support across the project portfolio.
  • Develop, maintain, and analyze integrated project schedules using Primavera P6 or equivalent scheduling software.
  • Establish project scheduling standards, processes, and best practices to ensure consistency across projects.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineering, procurement, construction, operations, and contractors to develop realistic and achievable project schedules.
  • Develop and maintain resource-loaded schedules that support project execution planning and forecasting.
  • Identify critical path activities, schedule constraints, schedule risks, and opportunities, and communicate impacts to project leadership.
  • Perform schedule status updates, progress measurement, and forecasting to support informed project decision-making.
  • Analyze schedule performance and trends, providing early identification of potential delays and recommending corrective actions.
  • Facilitate schedule review meetings and provide schedule-related guidance to project teams and stakeholders.
  • Evaluate contractor and supplier schedules to ensure alignment with project objectives and contractual milestones.
  • Develop and maintain project milestone reports, look-ahead schedules, resource forecasts, and schedule performance metrics.
  • Support project risk management activities through schedule risk analysis, scenario modeling, and schedule contingency evaluations.
  • Coordinate schedule integration across multiple projects, outages, turnarounds, and portfolio initiatives as required.
  • Provide accurate schedule reporting to project managers, leadership, and business stakeholders regarding progress, forecast completion dates, and schedule health.
  • Support project controls functions through close coordination with cost, estimating, and risk management personnel to ensure integrated project performance reporting.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to project schedulers and project team members on scheduling principles, tools, and best practices.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives related to project scheduling methodologies, reporting tools, and performance metrics.
  • Ensure schedule data, assumptions, and forecasts are documented and maintained in accordance with organizational procedures.
  • Capture lessons learned and promote continuous improvement in project planning and scheduling processes.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in related field.
  • 7+ years of managing project control teams.
  • 10+ years working within multi-cultural teams.
  • Demonstratable success in project delivery outside the nuclear industry.
  • Brownfield project and/or turnaround/shutdown/outage experience
  • Expert knowledge of Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling principles.
  • Advanced Primavera P6 proficiency.
  • Experience with schedule risk analysis and forecasting techniques.
  • Ability to analyze complex project schedules and identify schedule improvement opportunities.
  • Strong facilitation and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Experience integrating engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and startup activities within project schedules.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail regarding schedule development, progress measurement, and performance reporting.
  • Demonstrable ability in building teams of highly performing professionals, communicating strategy and building a team accountable for delivery
  • Skilled in leading project teams to success with minimal supervision.
  • Analytical bias with attention to detail specifically concerning data collation, analysis and presentation
  • Proven track record in managing contract delivery, protecting the owner’s contractual position at all times and preventing the likelihood of claims.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • PMI Scheduling Professional (SP) qualification or equivalent.
  • PMI, AACE or equivalent professional Membership.

Physical Requirements: Must be capable of climbing, walking, kneeling, bending, and lifting as part of daily job responsibilities. Ability to lift a minimum of 35 – 60 lbs.
