Quality Control Inspector

Location: Chattanooga, TN (On-Site)

System One is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to perform dimensional and visual inspections throughout the manufacturing process for critical Nuclear, DoE, DoD, AS9100, and ISO 9001 projects. This role ensures products meet customer, regulatory, and quality requirements using precision measuring tools and CMM technology.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct first article, in-process, receiving, and final inspections.
Utilize precision measuring equipment, Faro Arm, Keyence Optical CMM, and Zeiss CMM systems.
Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T requirements.
Verify material certifications, test reports, and quality documentation.
Perform QC witness and hold point inspections.
Interface with customers, suppliers, and production personnel on quality matters.
Ensure compliance with NQA-1, 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, ANSI N45.2, ASME Section III & VIII, and customer quality requirements.

Required Qualifications:

Strong knowledge of GD&T.
Minimum 2 years of QC inspection experience using Faro Arm and/or Keyence Optical CMM.
Experience with nuclear quality standards and codes.
Proficiency using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, dial indicators, and other inspection equipment.
Strong communication skills and flexibility to support customer needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

5+ years of QC inspection experience.
Nuclear QA experience and commercial grade dedication knowledge.
Zeiss, Keyence, or Faro training certifications.
Machinist, fabrication, aerospace (AS9100), or manufacturing quality experience.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Standing, walking, bending, reaching, climbing, and crouching as required.
