Procurement Engineer I

Bring precision and technical rigor to nuclear plant procurement and procedure development. We're seeking a Procurement Engineer to ensure station procedures, equipment qualification, and parts procurement meet the highest standards of technical accuracy and regulatory compliance at a nuclear generating station.

What this role offers:

Location: Richland, Washington

Full-Time, Hybrid (onsite preferred, remote-eligible), Contract length: 12 months, high likelihood of extension based on performance/job needs

Schedule: 4 x 10's

Salary Range: $45-$56/hr.

Responsibilities:

Create and revise station Operations, Administrative, and other station procedures

Ensure procedures comply with License Basis Documents (Technical Specifications, ODCM, LCS, FSAR) and source documents

Verify fit, form, and function of spare parts; maintain accurate parts inventory

Prepare technical and quality evaluations for replacement equipment and parts, including dedication plans for commercial-grade items

Perform equipment qualification analyses and quality classification of equipment and parts

Prepare and implement Procedure Change Notices; resolve procedure issues with reviewers

Develop test methodologies to ensure compliance with standards and commitments

Support planned and forced outages; serve as a Qualified Procedure Reviewer

Support Emergency Response Organization (ERO) duties as required

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and 8 years of engineering experience, plus one diverse assignment; OR high school diploma/GED with PE license and 8 years of engineering experience plus one diverse assignment

Experience with equipment qualification, commercial grade dedication, and procurement specifications

Strong technical writing skills, with ability to convert complex technical information into clear procedural steps
