Location: Savannah River Site – Aiken, SC

Schedule: Full-Time | 40 Hours per Week
Security: Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Q Clearance
Position Overview
EGS is seeking an experienced Lead Operations Support Specialist – Turnover Coordinator to support operations and project turnover activities at the Savannah River Site.
The Turnover Coordinator will support the planning, coordination, documentation, and execution of turnover activities, including scheduling and participating in turnover walkdowns, developing turnover packages, coordinating punch lists, preparing required turnover deliverables, and working with accepting organizations to ensure systems, structures, and components (SSCs) are ready for turnover.
The position requires significant knowledge of operations support within a highly regulated environment, including applicable policies, procedures, DOE Orders, regulatory requirements, nuclear safety standards, and facility requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Turnover & Project Closeout
Schedule and participate in turnover walkdowns.
Develop turnover packages for presentation to the appropriate accepting organization using required turnover forms.
Coordinate with the accepting organization to develop and compile turnover punch lists.
Facilitate designation of punch-list items as either "A" or "B" items.
Notify the accepting organization when systems, structures, and components are ready for turnover.
Request that the Facility Manager determine whether a Final Acceptance Inspection, in accordance with Manual 8Q, Procedure 51, is required when Operations is the accepting organization.
Prepare and document required turnover deliverables, including:
As-built drawings
Equipment lists
Operational manuals
Ensure turnover activities meet applicable nuclear regulatory requirements and safety standards.
Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal teams to confirm completion of work.
Resolve documentation discrepancies.
Verify readiness for handover.
Maintain accurate turnover records supporting audits, inspections, and future operations.
Operations Support & Leadership
Plan, develop, implement, and administer broad or unique programmatic, technical, and administrative functions supporting operations.
Provide guidance, work direction, oversight, and leadership to functional work groups, sections, or units.
Act in a lead capacity and potentially direct the work of exempt and nonexempt employees in a non-supervisory capacity.
Establish goals to meet assigned objectives.
Provide centralized control of programs or processes supporting operations.
Interpret and communicate programmatic, technical, and process changes to operations personnel.
Monitor and assess operations-related evolutions involving facility systems or equipment.
Support the safe and efficient operation of facility systems and equipment.
Perform periodic reviews and assessments of facility systems.
Maintain awareness of scheduled and anticipated work that could impact facility operations.
Identify positive and adverse operational trends, determine causal factors, and develop recommendations.
Work Control & Operations Coordination
Prepare and/or review facility work packages and associated work-control processes.
Review and communicate new and revised technical and operations procedures, bulletins, and required reading.
Conduct training for operations personnel on new systems and equipment and evaluate performance.
Function in contingency coordinator roles supporting operations.
Provide feedback and recommendations to management regarding work-group performance when required.
May provide relief for or represent the next immediate level of management.

Required Education & Experience
Candidates must meet one of the following:
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline + 10 years of relevant experience
Associate degree in a technical discipline + 14 years of relevant experience
High School Diploma + 18 years of relevant experience
A four-year degree is preferred but not required for the Turnover Coordinator assignment.

Candidates must demonstrate:
Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of all aspects of the assigned functional area.
Knowledge of the specific facility, area, or location supported where appropriate.
Thorough knowledge and understanding of applicable policies, practices, procedures, DOE Orders, and regulatory statutes.
Excellent communication and coordination skills for managing cross-functional teams.
Ability to work within highly regulated environments with strong attention to detail and safety.
Strong analytical skills to interpret project turnover requirements and resolve documentation discrepancies.
Ability to make independent decisions involving compliance enforcement and corrective-action recommendations.
Strong verbal and written communication skills for coordination with project teams, subcontractors, and owner representatives.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing competing priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous testing, commissioning, and startup experience at DOE facilities.
Strong understanding of nuclear facility operations and regulatory compliance.
Experience with turnover documentation and project closeout processes.
Proficiency working with engineering drawings, manuals, and compliance checklists.
1–3 years of experience in industrial construction, completions, turnover, or QA/QC.
Proficiency with:
Microsoft Word
Microsoft Excel
Microsoft PowerPoint
Primavera P6
Fundamental understanding of:
Turnover documentation
Commissioning
Quality compliance
Candidates who have possessed an active DOE L or Q clearance within the past two years are preferred.
Physical & Field Requirements
Candidates must be capable of navigating an active operating construction site on a daily basis, including:
Walking, climbing, stooping, and standing.
Working within a large-scale construction project environment.
Climbing stairs and scaffolding.
Walking over uneven and rough terrain.
Entering confined spaces when necessary.
Strictly adhering to applicable safety rules and regulations, including wearing required safety equipment.
Work Schedule
40-hour work week.
SRNS schedules may include 5/8s, 4/10s, or 9/80s.
Overtime may be required to meet project deliverables.
Occasional backshift support may be required.
Evening and weekend hours may be required depending on the construction/commissioning schedule.
