Lead procedure development projects for clients in oil & gas and other highly regulated industries — fully remote.
Procedure Solutions Management (PSM) helps operators in high-consequence industries write the procedures their people rely on at the point of work. We are hiring a Procedure Project Manager to own client projects end to end: scope, schedule, budget, quality, and the team that delivers them.
This role is a strong fit if you have spent time in operations — a plant, a shop, a rig, a manufacturing floor — and moved into project or quality leadership. You know why a badly written procedure fails in the field, and you can lead a team that fixes it.
What you'll do:
Own procedure development projects from initiation through completion, including scope, schedule, budget, and risk
Serve as the primary point of contact for your clients and manage the relationship
Lead and mentor Procedure Program Analysts, writers, and technical experts
Enforce quality standards and ensure deliverables meet client, industry, and regulatory requirements
Track cost and quality metrics and report status to clients and PSM leadership
Oversee human-factored MS Word template development and deployment
Required:
7+ years in procedure programs or equivalent experience, with clear progression of responsibility
5+ years in oil & gas, nuclear, or power generation industries
5+ years managing technical projects
3+ years of procedure writing or technical editing
Operations, production, or facility leadership experience — scheduling, resource planning, budget ownership
Proven delivery of complex projects on time and on budget
Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Word and project scheduling software
Preferred:
PPA certification
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent
Experience in areas such as nuclear, utility, oil & gas, highly regulated industries, or Department of Energy
Quality management system experience: developing, implementing, and maintaining a QMS, including service as management representative during customer or registrar audits
Auditing experience against standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 13485, API Q1, API 5CT, or API 19G1/G2/G3
Root cause analysis and corrective action expertise using structured methods (TapRooT, 5 Why, fishbone, FMEA, PDCA)
Lean and continuous improvement practice, including Kaizen event facilitation, 5S, or Hoshin planning
Proficiency with MS Project or comparable project scheduling software
Demonstrated safety leadership, such as chairing a safety or hazard observation committee or building a site safety culture
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g., INPO, NRC, API, BSEE, FDA, OSHA)
Experience with Agile or other modern project management methodologies
Flexibility to support clients on different time zones when needed
