Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Help develop solutions to complex problems that call for frequent creativity and innovation.
Use engineering input from across the Client organization to develop reactor servicing tools, inspection equipment, and control systems.
Prepare, check, and review engineering reports, system descriptions, specifications, drawings, calculations, and other design documents, with emphasis on reactor servicing tooling, inspection systems, and machine and component design.
Work on complex tasks across multiple and diverse areas.
Collaborate with the Nuclear Steam Supply System (NSSS) Component Design team so that components include the features needed to interface with the Client's reactor servicing tools and meet functional and performance requirements.
Work with the Civil/Structural team so that interfaces between tooling systems and on-site buildings meet functional and performance requirements.
Work closely with Systems Engineering and Operations to develop work sequences and handling plans as part of an integrated tool design.
Help develop and maintain engineering standards and criteria.
Assist in planning and organizing complex engineering work.
Perform innovative, complex engineering assignments on a product development team. This includes interpreting project scope and requirements and developing alternative ways to meet project goals.
Support procurement activities related to equipment design, fabrication, and testing.
Assist other teams by applying sound technical approaches and engineering standards within your areas of expertise.
Self-manage workload and deadlines.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Education: B.S. in Mechanical, Electrical, or Nuclear Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university (ABET preferred).

Experience: At least 5 years of full-time, relevant professional experience, including demonstrated experience in:
Applying engineering design processes to design mechanical handling equipment and systems.
Planning, preparing, and checking mechanical design documents for mechanical equipment and systems.

Eligibility: Must be eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810.

Preferred Qualifications
PE license in Mechanical, Electrical, or Nuclear Engineering.
Prior experience in a nuclear operating environment.
