Subcontractor Site Representative - 3 year contract

We are seeking a Subcontractor Site Representative to support the Naval Nuclear Laboratory (NNL) at Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory (KAPL) in Niskayuna, NY. This is a full-time, onsite position responsible for overseeing construction, maintenance, and site-services subcontractors.

Responsibilities

Manage subcontracts from planning and award through execution, completion, and closeout.

Serve as the primary liaison between project teams and subcontractor Project Managers.

Monitor subcontractor performance, schedule, quality, safety, and contractual compliance.

Ensure work complies with OSHA regulations, site safety requirements, procedures, and project specifications.

Provide direction and clarification to subcontractors to prevent miscommunication, rework, and schedule impacts.

Identify and help resolve performance, compliance, safety, and project execution issues.

Maintain effective communication between subcontractors, Construction Management, and internal project stakeholders.

Perform qualified Subcontractor Work Administrator duties in accordance with NNL requirements.

Review and approve Material Disposition Lists for construction and maintenance waste.

Perform Waste Chemical Representative responsibilities in accordance with NNL requirements.

Support safe and successful field execution of construction and maintenance projects.

Requirements

High School Diploma and 1+ year of relevant experience.

U.S. citizenship required due to the federal nature of the work.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a government-issued security clearance prior to starting.

Active DOE "L" or DOD Secret clearance highly desired.

Field construction experience and familiarity with contractor oversight and site operations.

Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety requirements.

Ability to read and interpret technical documents, specifications, and construction/engineering drawings.

Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

Self-directed with the ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary project teams.
