Thomas Thor is working with an energy sector client who has a permanent / direct hire opening for a Simulator Software Developer that can primarily be performed REMOTELY from your home.

POSITION SUMMARY: This simulator modeling engineer will assisting in the development of the software models that supports the control room simulator. This position will work in close collaboration with operators and engineers to support a range of software development tasks such as updating plant models in accordance with engineering documentation. Ideal candidate is familiar with the GSE software suite (i.e., SimExec and JTopmeret), have experience with thermal hydraulic system codes (e.g., RELAP5 and Trace), and have experience with neutronic analysis codes (e.g., Simulate 3 and MCNP).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
� Supports development, testing and operation of the control room simulator and other software projects.
� Develops software in accordance with established procedures and processes to maintain configuration control.
� Documents software defects using issue tracking software.

MINIMUM SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND ABILITIES:
� Education/Certification: A minimum of a B.S. degree in physics, engineering or other technical degree

� Experience: A minimum of five years of full-time software development experience is required. Three or more years of demonstrable software deliverables with a focus on modeling and simulator development preferred. Additional desired experience includes:
o Previous experience with GSE simulation software (i.e., SimExec, JTopmeret
o Previous experience with thermal hydraulic system codes (e.g., RELAP5 and Trace)
o Working knowledge of an integrated development environment such as Visual Studio
o Previous experience with project management systems like Gitlab or Github
o Experience with developing software in Fortran, C++, and/or Python
o Previous experience with neutronic analysis codes (e.g., Simulate 3 and MCNP)

Annual compensation range is $78,000 - $122,000 annually, based on experience. Comprehensive benefits package.
