Provide services and support as a Qualified Fire Protection Engineer [Navy | NIWC Fire Protection Engineer Services and Support] aligned with the Fire Protection Engineering and Technical Evaluation Functional Area / Swim Lane / Category Discipline in the Defense and National Security (derived classification) Industry Sector.
This role focuses on engineering, compliance, and risk management (derived ProSidian alignment) Solutions for clients such as the U.S. Department of the Navy, Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic (Navy / NIWC Atlantic) | NIWC Atlantic, Department of the Navy; and GSA Federal Acquisition Service, which conducts MRAs. Generally Located In Vandenberg Space Force Base, near Lompoc, Santa Barbara County, California, and across the In CONUS - Mid-Atlantic and Southeast (North Charleston, SC) as well as in the California Central Coast; Western United States; North America Region (Of Country/World) Hybrid – On/Off Client Site and Virtual.

Provide Defense and National Security (derived classification) Sector-related Hybrid – On/Off Client Site and Virtual Engineering Services for Navy | NIWC Fire Protection Engineer Services and Support as a Labor Category: Senior Consultant with activities generally located in CONUS - Mid-Atlantic and Southeast (North Charleston, SC) as well as In CONUS - Mid-Atlantic and Southeast (North Charleston, SC) as well as in the California Central Coast; Western United States; North America | In CONUS - Mid-Atlantic and Southeast (North Charleston, SC) as well as in the California Central Coast; Western United States; North America Vandenberg Space Force Base, near Lompoc, Santa Barbara County, California.

Provide qualified engineering support for design and submittal reviews, code compliance evaluation, technical findings and SRM planning. Support existing-facility life safety assessments when tasked. Coordinate recommendations with the DFPE and applicable government AHJs.

Registered Professional Engineer (PE), passage of the NCEES written examination in fire protection engineering, and relevant fire protection engineering experience, as defined in the supplied requirement.

Education / Experience Requirements / Qualifications

Engineering education supporting PE registration and relevant fire protection experience. No fixed degree level or minimum years is stated in the supplied QFPE definition. Historical Senior Consultant minimum was master’s degree and 15 years; verify current category independently.

Registered Professional Engineer (PE), passage of the NCEES written examination in fire protection engineering, and relevant fire protection engineering experience, as defined in the supplied requirement.

Skills Required

Primarily focused on Engineering Services initiatives and aligned with Program Support activities, in the Fire Protection Engineering and Technical Evaluation Functional Area.
