Resident Construction Engineer sought for Middle East Site Preparation and Road-building projects by US-based global EPC firm

THE JOB: Manage contract supervisors, provide schedule/ commercial input to the design packages as developed through design review for new city.

Specific Duties:

Coordinate development of construction schedules and associated milestones to ensure timely, well-integrated project starts and execution.

Responsible to support Area Construction Manager in managing interface between principal contractors.

Supervise contract packages to ensure safe delivery of quality in line with schedule and budget requirements.

Coordinate with various governmental agencies during the handing over of projects.

Prepare the yearly and monthly cash flow of on-going and future contracts.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Fully accredited BSCE or closely related 4 year degree

15 years’ experience in field engineering/contract supervision or similar with site supervision responsibilities for a given area of total project/program.

Experience with multi disciplines related to site development, utilities relocation and installation, roads and asphalt construction.

Hands on experience of filling and site preparation, piling, excavation, dewatering, erection or steel and concrete structures and buildings, mechanical / electrical systems coordination.

Experience constructing roads and bridges, excavation and concrete construction supervision and in constructability review of design package.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of programs, Primavera; and overseas experience, preferably in Middle East desired.

US, UK, Canadian or Australian passport

THE PROJECT:

The position is based onsite at a long term municipal infrastructure project with a US-based global EPC/M organization in the Middle East. The projects include expansion of an industrial port, pipeline refurbishment, increasing capacity of the cooling system, neighborhood planning and expansion and new desalinization plants.

Paid extended-hour basic workweek, housing, corporate employee benefits, R&Rs and Home Leave included in basic package. Married status may be available.
