Technical Field Advisor- HRSG Experience

MQS is currently looking for a Technical Field Advisor to work on a 3-4 month temporary assignment power plant project in Franklin, LA.


As an on-site representative for our client who provides advice to Owners on activities such as commissioning, startup, operation, maintenance, inspections and trouble shooting. May be the leader of a commissioning and startup advisory team. Performs the following job functions in part, or as a whole:

Essential Job Functions:

Ensures site activities under our clients control are done safely.
Provides advice to Owners on activities such as commissioning, startup, operations, inspections, maintenance and trouble shooting.
Takes direction from the Project Manager or other person in charge of a specific project.
Maintains records and documents in accordance with Department and Project requirements. Includes time sheets and billing documents.
Provides immediate notification (or assures that notification has been given by others) to home office on key issues.
Is familiar with and follows corporate policies.
Issues Client reports for inspection resulting from stand-alone Purchase Orders.
Issues internal daily operating reports on internal commission projects.
Provides guidance and leadership to less experienced Field Technical Advisors, as needed.
On new commissioning projects, assures site compliance with FWs Deviation Reporting System, Non-Conformance Report Procedure and supports home office Project Teams notification to Vendors and Clients on contract matters.


Skills Requirements:

Delegates work assignments by matching the responsibilities to the capabilities of the personnel; effectively follows-up on and provides support.
Solicits and applies customer feedback (internal and external).
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
Must have an understanding of the technical elements of the equipment they are working with.
Must be able to communicate by computer and have advanced understanding of word processing, spreadsheet and CAD/CAM programs.
This person will need extensive knowledge on setting and hooking up HRSG modules.

Must Have 5+ years experience on HRSG Installation
