Procedure Writer

Includes the following:
The Procedure Writer develops, implements, reviews, and ensures approval and distribution of fleet, site, and business unit technical procedures in support of the NERC Standards for Generation and the Fossil Hydro NERC program recovery efforts.
Works with subject matter experts in NERC compliance to collect the technical procedure content, drafts procedures based on input from SMEs using form templates, facilitates reviews and approvals of technical procedures.
Works with generation station personnel to ensure technical procedures can be executed successfully.
Graduation from a two-year college or university in a technical field. Minimum of 2 years of technical procedure writing experience recommended.
Minimum of 5 years of technical writing experience in lieu of a degree.
Also including the following preferred skills:
Working Knowledge to Proficiency with NERC regulatory standards and compliance concepts;
Ability to communicate technical detail to non-technical people; and a proven collaborative team member;
Excellent organization, communication and strong writing styles;
Ability to communicate technical detail to non-technical people;
Ability to generate detailed process and procedure type documents from verbal and other informal types of discussions (white board sessions, etc.);
Ability to work within very tight deadlines;
Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and SharePoint; and
Demonstrated project management skills.
