E2 Consulting Engineers, Inc. is seeking Field Administrators for gas pipeline construction projects in Southern Illinois.
E2 provides inspection services to support Ameren Gas of Illinois on their gas pipeline construction projects throughout Southern Illinois. The Field Administrator will work closely with gas pipeline construction inspectors to ensure field-generated data is accurately documented, maintained, consolidated, and entered into electronic systems. The Field Administrator position is a great stepping-stone opportunity for someone seeking advancement in field of gas pipeline construction.
Duties and Responsibilities
•Compile data for project completion
•Work closely with field personnel daily to ensure accuracy of field-generated data and documentation on up to 3 construction sites at a time.
•Maintain records of new and repaired pipelines to meet company and regulatory requirements
•Assist gas pipeline inspectors with the material inventory process and material reconciliation reports
•Daily electronic entry of field-generated data
•A vocational/technical school education is strongly preferred
•Ability to read a tape measure and interpret construction blueprints
•Computer skills a must (Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; tablets and PC savvy)
•Strong attention to detail
•Organizational skills capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously
•Ability to work outdoors; 10 hours per day, 5 days a week
•Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50lbs.
•Authorized to work in the US
•Alcohol-free, drug-free workplace (DOT drug testing required by federal regulations)
•Valid driver’s license
•Personal vehicle with insurance
•Ability to work well with all levels of gas construction industry professionals
•Ability to maintain organization in construction field conditions (i.e., working out of a vehicle)
•Ability to represent E2’s client (Ameren Gas of Illinois) with professionalism and integrity
