The Field Engineer is responsible for providing day to day support to the Project Superintendent and General Foreman.
Essential Functions: **Travel to project sites in different States to help manage major and minor projects & equipment installations The Field Engineer is responsible for submittal review and preparation for projects Project Planning- work package development with Superintendents/General Foreman Project Quality Control Documentation and Project Document Controls Project Controls regarding schedule, budget, cost codes Ability to dispute and obtain resolution with suppliers / vendors Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, performance standards and specifications Track progress based on installed quantities
Education and Experience Required: BS or equivalent in electrical engineering, Construction Management or related discipline Requires understanding of electrical process for commercial, industrial and oil/gas. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Accubid and data base management Proficiency in 2D CAD layout and design of electric rooms, 3D CAD Coordination
Other Qualifications Required: Ability to communicate and handle RFI’s. Knowledge and understanding of PO’s, Purchasing/Procurement requirements for each project Knowledge and understanding process of Change Estimates/Orders Knowledge and understanding of As- Built reviews Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to all levels of company Ability to research and acquire knowledge of permit requirement per project, Local, State and Federal level Ability to communicate with all vendors including negotiations on pricing, shipping charges and delivery Ability to track and manage all equipment and quantity tracking
