This is a 12 month contract potential to convert. There is no Per Diem so local candidates.

Mechanical Designer
Responsibilities (maintain and preserve the integrity of client drawings and engineering project file documentation):
QA/QC check of Capital/Expense project work. Confirm that as-built drawings, R&I Report, project file documentation and other departments related databases and documents (CPDM, SAP, FEMS/LDAR, GIS/PODS, OMER Book) are in sync. Reports any differences to the respective Logistics Departments.
Work with Refinery (create red-line markups of Refinery drawings) to make sure Logistics and Refinery drawings are in sync when projects interface with Refinery.
Make certain drawings and documents adhere to Company and regulatory compliance requirements.
QA/QC check of Opex project work and update (As-build) associated drawings.
Make sure all non-project related drawings are updated that are affected by project.
Coordinate with project teams and outside contractors to ensure understanding and compliance to Company standards and guarantee a high level of consistency in documentation.
Conduct training classes as needed in ADMS, R&I completion, Alignment sheet, P&ID & PFD reading.
Assist with regulatory reporting, PHMSA, OSFM Pipeline Questionnaire, Annual Property Tax Reporting, OMER Review, research and data gathering for Audit Reviews.
Assist Right-of-Way with substructure investigation/verification and red-line markup of third party construction drawings.
Verify pipeline franchise footages for ROW.
Review and approve proposed pipeline movements (OIS) from Schedulers, assign route codes and create new route schematics.
Update drawings from red-line markups from field comments.
Conduct research investigation requests from Engineering, Damage Prevention, Operations, Regulatory Compliance and ROW on current and historical data.
Work with Legal Department on litigation issues. (historical research and data gathering, review/report/explain chronological historical events)
Create new drawings on as needed basis. (i.e. safety plot plans for ERP)
Understands the interrelationship between various drawings. How changes to one type of drawing affects multiple drawings across various disciplines.
Understands basic piping design and electrical design.
Resolve and correct any CAD viewing issues from project drawing submittals.
Familiarity and understanding of Company and D&D processes, procedures and standards in-order-to enforce compliance, adherence to ensure accuracy and consistency in the maintaining Company documentation.
Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure with minimum supervision.
Ability and flexibility to quickly switch between task priorities in order to meet deadlines.
Update pipeline OID database & spreadsheet (until PODS is current)
Assist PIC with understanding R&I requirements and drawing issues.
Top 3-4 Required Skills (and years of experience):

Understanding piping design principles
Strong experience in supporting oil and gas assets
Understanding of basic regulatory requirements from CFR 192 and 195
AutoCAD 2015 or newer software
