System One is currently seeking a Construction Site Supervisor on an 8 month contract position located in Eastern and Central, ND
Construction Site Supervisor Responsibilities:
Responsible for verifying all work performed by the prime construction contractor complies with our construction standards and the engineering prints.
Responsible for capturing any field changes to the design.
Responsible for communicating properly to the responsible parties within the Company on a routine or daily basis.
Responsible for insuring the constructor performs the Work to the Company's specifications and standards.
Responsible for insuring the constructor uses the proper materials in the proper place on the Project.
Shall take all precautions to protect Company's equipment, materials and customers and be a good representative for Company.
A designated Company field representative will be available to help orientate constructor to Work being observed.
Responsible for ensuring all construction activities are performed in accordance with company safety policies.
Responsible for reviewing prime contractor work plans and determining the appropriate level of safety observation.
Acts as a Watcher (see the Manual of Safe Practices) when the prime contractor is working within 20 ft.’ of parts energized to 650 volts or higher
Responsible for providing own transportation to perform the job.
Contractor shall provide all safety equipment (i.e. hard hats, safety glasses, and safety shoes).
Construction Site Supervisor Requirements:
Construction Observers need to have detailed knowledge of T-line or substation construction practices.
Must be familiar with the PSCo Manual of Safe Practices, the Company’s contractor safety program, OSHA regulations, minimum approach distances for work inside substations, and the Company’s Rules to Live By.
Must exercise stop work responsibility when work is being performed unsafely.
All workers are required to wear hard-hats, safety shoes, and safety glasses unless they are in an area designated as a safe area
A strong construction background is required
Experience with Safe work practices
High functioning customer service
Wind Farm experience preferred
Experience with construction of underground cable collection systems, underground cable terminations, and Substation Control House wiring systems.
Must have wind farm background.
Experience doing electrical inspections specifically on wind farm projects.
Duration: 8 months
Location: Near Ellendale, ND
Pay Rate: $44.50- 51.85/HR
