Subject: [Controls Engineer] NERC Compliance Engineer (Protection & Control Engineer)
Contract / Temp to Direct / Direct Hire: Contract
City: Allentown
State: Pennsylvania
Country: United States

Our client, a major energy producer based in Pennsylvania, has an immediate need for Protection & Control Engineer (NERC Compliance)for a long term contract assignment.

The client is ideally looking for a candidate with a background in NERC compliance space. From an engineering perspective, it doesnít matter what kind or subset they have studied or worked within. They need someone that can help with process development, collecting the right data & compliance information/evidence. Putting the right controls in place that allows the ease to identify if the process has gone astray, if gaps exist or if itís meeting standards. A good fit could be an industrial engineer, even in another compliance space (QA efforts in another area, taking that skill set and moving it over to NERC compliance). Compliance knowledge within the Utility industry would be great, but the client is willing to look at other industries Ė they arenít ruling out others if they have similar experience.
Basic Qualifications

1. Bachelor's Degree in engineering or science from a college or university accredited by ABET. Candidates with extensive experience and certifications in quality assurance in lieu of the specified degree will be considered.

2. Minimum 5 years experience implementing a quality or reliability program, or project management involving engineering projects.

3. Engineers with quality or licensing experience with generation, distribution, industrial protection, or system planning will be considered.

Preferred Qualifications (some of the following)
1.Knowledge of Protection & Controls engineering
2.Six Sigma Certification
3.PMP Certification
4.Experience in the energy industry.
5.Quality program implementation in a regulated industry such as nuclear or pharmaceuticals.
6.NERC Reliability standards expertise
7.Cybersecurity program implementation expertise

Per diem and mob/demob is available.
