[QC Inspector] Quality Control Technician - 6 Month Temporary Contract Assignment

Sirius Technical Services is seeking a Quality Control Technician in Greensboro, NC for a Temporary Contract Assignment with a duration of 6 months. The schedule with be a 12 hour fixed day shift role and will include some holidays and weekends.
Quality Control Technician
Primary Responsibilities of the Quality Control Technician:
Perform incoming raw material, plant solution, in-process, and finished goods sample inspection for the functional groups Manufacturing, R&D, and Product Development.
Accepts responsibility for his or her own safety and health. Performs assigned duties in a manner that is safe and protective of the environment. Follows operating procedures to ensure a safe and environmentally protective workplace. Observes and reports all incidents and unsafe conditions. Takes an active interest in improving safety and environmental protection.
Working Conditions for the Quality Control Technician:
Physical mobility and agility required.
Requires working in a shift environment including weekends and holidays.
Requires adequate physical strength to perform the essential job tasks (for example, ability to lift
50 lbs. without mechanical assistance).
Exposure to prolonged physical activity (for example,12-hour shifts).
Sensory faculties needed to safely perform the job duties that allow a person to react to potential or immediate hazardous conditions and to take appropriate action.
Ability to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as respiratory protection, as well as common protective or safety equipment including, but not limited to, safety shoes, eye protection, hand protection, hearing protection, and hard hats.
Education/Experience Requirements for the Quality Control Technician:
Minimum Bachelors Degree in a science or technical field with at least one year of college level Chemistry. Higher education levels may reduce experience requirements.
Previous full-time working experience for at least one year in a chemical, analytical, or quality control laboratory is required. Extensive experience may reduce education requirements.
Requires technical experience in Chromatography, Automated Chemistry systems, and PC data control.
Preferred Qualifications for the Quality Control Technician:
Bachelors or Associates Degree in a science or technical field.
Previous working experience in a chemical, analytical, or quality control laboratory.
Technical experience in Chromatography, Automated Chemistry systems, and PC data control is preferred.
