[Mechanical Engineer] Mechanical Engineer III (Gas) Job Opportunity- PER DIEM OFFERED

The M&R Engineer has many responsibilities. The M&R Engineer frequently coordinates with other internal departments including; Operations, Supply Chain, Project Management, Project Controls, Real Estate and Permitting, Customer Account Managers, Customer Deliverability, Meter Technology Center, Warehousing, and many others.

As a Project Engineer, your role would include, but may not be limited to the following responsibilities:

Specific project engineering,
Product/process research,
procedure writing,
field technical support,
support and engineering of large customer meter stands,
standards or manual feedback
Special projects such as specification ownership, process change management. Great coordination with internal and external groups and / or service providers is a must. Examples of this work may include replacement of a specific component at a station or City Gate, or may be as complex as a rebuild of an entire odorizer or station that has contract engineering, design and construction services required.

The successful candidate applies an intensive and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices in broad areas of assignments and related fields; makes decisions independently on engineering problems and methods; and represents the organization in meetings to resolve important questions. Requires the use of advanced techniques and the modification and extension of theories, precepts and practices of his/her field and related sciences and disciplines.

Skills:

Knowledge of the design, construction, or operation of natural gas facilities including regulation facilities and odorizer facilities
Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, Projects and PowerPoint
Knowledge of planning and permitting as they relate to discipline specific design and construction
Experience in reviewing designs to assure compliance with engineering design, applicable codes, constructability, industry and CE standards
Experience in procurement of engineered material, equipment and professional services

Ability to independently evaluate, select & apply engineering theory.
Knowledge and/or experience in utility operations
Application of utility business model
Ability to solve complex problems; taking new perspectives using existing solutions
Skill in supervisory practices/application
Knowledge and application of utility trends

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited program and 3 years of engineering experience
