Technical Specialist - Southeastern Power Company

Technical Specialist Level 0 - V (Multiple Opportunities)
Contract Duration: Up to 3 years
Location: Southeastern US

Duties:
Level 0:
1) Responsible for creating customized solutions for Project Controls related areas. This typically requires programming in Excel, Access, Tableau, Power BI and related tools.
2) Responsible for routine interface with other groups within T&PS in support of assigned projects. This may additionally include interface with external 3rd Parties (not Southern Company).
3) Responsible for applying knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures associated with organizing/classifying meta data.
4) Responsible for closely working with project teams to develop metrics and analysis products.

Level I:

3) Responsible for applying knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures associated with organizing/classifying meta data.
4) Responsible for closely working with project teams to develop metrics and analysis products.

Level III:
1) Responsible for leading a team to create customized, highly complex and sophisticated solutions for Project Controls related areas. This typically requires programming in Excel, Access, Tableau, Power BI and related tools.
2) Responsible for routine interface with other groups within T&PS in support of assigned projects. This may additionally include interface with external 3rd Parties (not Southern Company).
3) Responsible for applying knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures associated with organizing/classifying meta data.
4) Responsible for closely working with project teams to develop metrics and analysis products.

Level IV:

Qualifications: Seeking candidates with heavy industrial or power plant industries (preferred)
Level 0: Accredited Associate or Bachelors Degree or 1+ Years Relevant Experience

5) Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure.
6) Ability to efficiently and effectively execute problem solving skills.

Level II: Accredited Associate or Bachelors Degree with 1 year Relevant Experience or 5+ Years Relevant Experience
1) Ability to take the lead on challenging projects.
2) Requires minimal direction to accomplish projects.
3) Can set benchmarks for themselves and others to meet project success.
4) Advanced technical skillsets and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
5) Strong communication and organizational skills.
