[Business Manager] Public Outreach Support Professional

We are looking for a Public Outreach professional to work with our utility client on public outreach for their drone investigation assessment and repair program. You will represent the client and E2 Consulting Engineers, Inc. throughout all phases of the project. This position will be required to obtain the necessary releases or authorization from landowners, state parks, tribal governments, and any other entities requiring notice prior to actual flight. Work with the team leads to develop and implement initiatives that increase visibility and safety of the project within the assessment areas and throughout the community.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Design and implement a comprehensive and effective outreach strategy to engage residents, businesses, government entities and other utility customers in the San Diego area, in both English and Spanish, in collaboration with SoCalGas staff and local government officials.
Effectively and enthusiastically communicate the value of the assessment program to residents and businesses, verbally and in writing, using a wide variety of communications channels.
Identify and develop positive relationships with community leaders and key influencers in all segments of the community.
Represent the company with a high level of professionalism, including presenting at meetings and events (virtual and in person when allowed) when required.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the client’s programs and customer offerings to effectively represent the organization and answer questions about it with a high level of accuracy.
Communicate complex initiatives and planning stages in simple terms.
Identify concerns raised by community members and proactively work with the rest of the team to address them.
Responsible for coordinating and tracking of customer interactions with the clients Land and Public Affairs representatives and will use any systems recommended to track and document customer interactions including outreach activities, events, workshops, appearances, and other communication opportunities.
Maintain records of customer contacts and interactions during the entirety of the program.
Prepare an annual budget for community outreach activities and initiatives.
Nurture new and old relationships with collaborative partners.
Requirements
Qualifications

At least three to five (3-5) years of progressively responsible experience in public outreach, community relations, public service, promoting public benefit programs, or a similar role
Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, business, or related fields.
Preferred experience in utility sector.
Bilingual preferred; at a minimum, the ability to understand and to make oneself understood to Spanish speaking individuals.
Outstanding written communication and presentation skills.
Strong experience preparing reports.
Friendly, enthusiastic, and positive attitude.
Strong knowledge of social media and other basic marketing platforms.
Detail-orientated with the ability to manage multiple projects at a time.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including effective presentation skills, and enjoys interacting with others
Fast learner, ability to absorb complex new information quickly.
Bilingual or fluent in both English and Spanish
Outgoing, friendly, and relationship-oriented
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and comfortable learning additional computer software and databases as needed
