[QA Inspector] CWI with Fossil Boiler Experience (local to SW PA)

System One is looking for CWIs for as needed fossil/boiler projects in southwestern Pennsylvania. Ideal candidate lives in southwestern PA or very close.

Summary of Position:
Personnel in this job will work within project specific QA/QC plans and condition assessment Inspection plans, in accordance with the applicable System One procedures, codes, standards, and customer specifications, documenting the scope and results of each examination. This includes Level II NDE as needed; inspector must be familiar with the scope and limitations of all inspection activities and are required to provide direct instruction as needed to all developing inspection personnel.

Responsibilities/Job Functions:
• Safety is first; Compliance with all safety procedures, practices and policies is mandatory.
• Personnel must be able to present themselves in a professional manner to the project manager and customers at all levels.
• Must have the ability to effectively communicate complex technical information, orally and in writing, in a timely manner.
• Perform vendor qualification/ surveillance procedures and receipt inspection per System one or customer procedures.
• Become proficient at following System One procedures in accordance with customer specifications.
• Complete inspection and daily reports as required for the tasks executed.
• Maintain NDE experience time log to support certification requirements.
• Learn and abide by all System One policies and procedures.
• Completes all required training, including tests, within System One guidelines.
• Have a thorough understanding of the industries System One services and the types of inspection and testing supplied by System One.
• Maintain time-sheets and submit as required.
• Must be capable of generating welding procedures /programs, specific to project needs.
• Must be capable of generating and managing the execution of vendor qualification/surveillance procedures and receipt inspection programs.
• Must be capable of generating and managing the execution of project specific QA/QC plans, Including project documentation review/takeoffs, weld “schedule” development, PQR / WPS qualification, welder qualification, receipt inspection, identifying all Inspection/NDE requirements and PWHT requirements.
• Must be capable of performing quality system auditing and continuous improvement identification.

Required Experience/Education:
• At a minimum a high school diploma, GED, or College Certification is required.
• Preferred Individuals will possess documented classroom training hours in: RT, UT, MT, PT, and VT from an accredited NDE school, relevant industrial experience or a college degree in a technical discipline.
• Must have basic computer skills including navigating in windows, word, excel and power point.
• Must have a minimum of 5 years of industrial NDE / Inspection experience.
• Must have a minimum of 5 years experience in a welded fabrication environment.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States of America, TWIC card is preferred.

Physical Demands and Work Conditions
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Must be able to lift and carry lightweight to heavyweight objects and use basic power and hand tools.
• Climbing and working off of ladders, stairs, and scaffolding in excess of 100 foot and working in confined spaces can be a routine part of some projects.
• Working extended hours and standing for extended periods of time.
• The job is generally within a heavy industrial environment and you may be required to work within variety fabrication, construction and operating plants. The environmental conditions can be indoor, outdoors, hot, cold, dirty, greasy, wet, and noisy.
