Job Summary:†

PIC Group has an excellent assignment opportunity for a Project Planner/Scheduler to support installation of a new Combined Heat and Power (CHP) plant at an existing University facility building located in the Washington DC area.† The Project Planner/Scheduler will report to the Site Project Manager and will be responsible for updating and maintaining the schedule in Primavera P6 while working closely with the project team to incorporate project controls, manage construction updates and ensure critical path activities are well known.† The Project Planner / Scheduler will be supporting the project onsite throughout construction and commissioning phase of the project.†

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This position reports to functionally the Site Project Manager and also reports to the Director of Project Controls for controls related work activities.
Prepare and maintain weekly P6 schedule updates and Construction Project Management (CPM) activities.
Develop, prepare and produce monthly reporting such as S-Curves, productivity schedules and manpower histograms.
Understand the projectís cost coding structure and analyze compliance regarding weekly timesheets, change orders and purchase orders.
Assist operations w/ cost coded timesheets, purchase order and change order logs (MS Excel) along with other miscellaneous tracking spreadsheets.
Performing other duties as required or assigned, including various project reporting.
Interface with site project manager, director of project controls, various supervisors, and subcontractors.

Job Requirements:

Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6 and MS Excel.
Strong computer skills, specifically Microsoft 365 applications such as Excel, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
Good understanding of the areas of estimating, cost control, and overall project and construction management
Strong communication and influencing skills, including the ability to work well and communicate with internal and external individuals at all levels.
Understanding of project cost control fundamentals with analytical skills
Ability to analyze and interpret complex data
Ability to meet the job site specific safety requirements
Quality focused with acute attention to detail and problem solving
Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Excellent analytical and organizational skills.


Physical Requirements:

Site work entailing sitting, meeting, and interfacing with site personnel inside and outside.
Varied temperature and noise level typical of a construction site operation.

Education / Experience:

High school education or GED.
Five (5) years of experience with Primavera P6 and Microsoft 365, including Excel, Word, Teams, PowerPoint, Outlook.
Five (5) years of experience in Industrial Construction Project Management or Planning, Scheduling, or Project Controls.
