[Electrical Technician] Punchlist Journeyman Millwright

We are looking for a journeyman electrician to join our dynamic team in Port Arthur, Texas. This is a long term (24 month) position working 50 hours per week, which may increase depending on the Client’s direction.

Job Responsibilities.

• Candidate will report to the Punchlist Foreman for daily work tasks and follow all Company and Client’s HSE policies. Activities include, but not limited to the following:
• Repair mechanical and piping work deficiencies to rectify punchlist items.
• Develop material and consumable lists necessary to correct punchlist items.
• Perform torquing or tensioning activities on flange assemblies.
• Perform alignments on rotating equipment.
• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all company guidelines, policies, and OSHA safety requirements and through reporting violations of policies, procedures, and guidelines to immediate supervisor
• Leverage previous experience rotating mechanical equipment, knowledgeable function of associated equipment and auxiliary systems.
• Perform inspections of mechanical and piping equipment during sub-system walkdowns.
• Regularly communicate with supervisor work progress, concerns, and questions
• Read and understand technical drawings and publications and ability to make accurate calculations.

Job Skills & Qualifications

• +15 years of industrial related experience
• NCCER Certified Journeyman Millwright (highly preferred) or Electrical Journeyman License
• Ability to work in a fast past environment
• Proficient in reading project drawings and documentation
• Willingness to STOP or intervene any unsafe act and have constructive HSE conversations with colleagues
• Fluent in English, oral and written required
• Reading diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures required
• Knowledge and skill on torquing procedures required
• Ability to use laser alignment equipment required
• Ability to use calipers and/or dial indicators to measure and record clearances, tolerances, or runout required
• Understanding of bearings, lubricants, seals, compressors, pumps and cylinders, valve and pipe configurations, shaft packing, and drive systems required
• Specific knowledge of centrifugal pump machinery repairs required
