Training Coordinator- International

POSITION SUMMARY

This position coordinates the training of equipment and systems operations, safe work practices, procedures, and administers the Personal Qualification Programs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Strictly adhere to and enforce all safety procedures
Follow ORMATís QEHS guidelines in the preparation and administration of program documentation
Schedule and coordinate training in equipment and systems operations, safe work practices and procedures
Provide, schedule, and track training and completion dates using company database
Responsible for monitoring, reporting and providing consultation to the Plant Managers for issues surrounding employee training and procedures
Coordinate and administer the operational procedures and maintain oversight of document control
Design, plan, organize and direct the orientation and training for employees as needed
Develop and implement training with recommendations from the Plant Manager
Responsible for identifying training and procedural discrepancies and documenting training and procedural changes
Must be able to operate a vehicle in a safe manner


OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform other duties and projects as assigned by management


EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED

The ability to understand procedures and instructions specific to the areas of assignment as would be acquired in three to four years of high school
Six years of experience in a related filed, including one year in a senior technical or leadership role
Candidate must be bilingual, speaking both Spanish and English fluently
The ability to understand procedures and instructions specific to the areas of assignment
The ability to read blueprints, P&IDs, schematics, specifications and vendor manuals
The ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees at all levels
The ability to develop and communicate reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals
Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making ability
The ability to establish priorities, meet deadlines and possess continual attention to detail
Must be able to read, write and speak English at a level which will permit the employee to accurately understand and communicate information to safely and efficiently perform the job duties
Must be able to use and acquire knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation. Must be proficient in MS word, Excel, Power Point and use of the Internet
Must possess at any time a valid driverís license with a driving record acceptable to ORMATís auto insurance carrier


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This job requires sitting approximately 80% and standing up to 20%
Must be able to travel internationally up to 50%
The ability to lift 50 lbs
Must be able to wear a variety of protective equipment as required by safety procedures and regulations
Must be able to frequently climb to and work off of elevated platforms, ladders and walkways
Must be able to work in severe weather conditions and confined spaces
