Currently, we are searching for a suitable candidate for the position of Project Construction Engineer for a FLNG Development operator.

OVERVIEW

The Construction Engineer shall be located at the project fabrication site in South Texas Long term position supporting multiple offshore project developments.

RESPONSIBLITIES
• Manage and direct multi-discipline construction teams by collaborating, setting direction and expectations, coordinating with procurement and construction districts
• Utilize fabricators and owner’s project controls systems along with industry execution knowledge and practices to manage construction progress and performance
• Maintain overall ownership of construction execution to meet project milestones and objectives
• Support project change management processes to ensure the project scope of work, schedule and budgets are clearly defined and understood
• Oversight that project procedures are consistent with contractual documents and quality plans for all construction work; determine and oversee construction project controls, schedules, and budgets
• Serve as owner / operator representative with subcontractors, and vendors at kick-off meetings, job walks, project reviews, and other project stakeholder engagements
• Maintain ongoing communication with project stakeholders, adjusting as necessary to comply with project needs within contractual obligations.
• Ensure all construction works are consistent with industry and regulatory codes and standards and in accordance with good engineering practice

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering in any discipline from a four-year college or +20 years relative experience in construction management, specifically in the oil, gas, and chemical industry.
• Advanced degrees or certifications a plus
• Competent in the use of computer software applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, Sharepoint and Outlook
• Working knowledge and understanding of project controls terminology and project scheduling processes
• Professional Engineer License (desirable)
• Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative

• Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity
• Passion for safety, with the ability to help us ensure that nobody gets hurt
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

• Strong organizational skills, time management, and knowing when to dive into details without losing site of the project objectives.
