[Scheduler] Planner/Scheduler Opportunity - Contract - Remote/Hybrid - $65-75/hr + Holidays

Planner/Scheduler position supports project managers with a primary focus on project scheduling. Responsibilities include and are not limited to:

Responsible for planning, monitoring and control of assigned projects within. This includes developing and maintaining the Project Schedules, Progress Measurement Systems, Project Control Logs, Manpower Histograms, and other Control documents.
Engages with Project Managers, to ensure project progress and spending is accurately reported and forecasted.
Manages all capital project planning, monitoring and control related to projects execution.
Ensures direct, effective and timely communications of capital project requirements, request for actions, responses to requests, routine reporting and sharing important information to Management.
Provides guidance to the Project Managers by analyzing and evaluating all pertinent data.
Discusses, coordinates and resolves long term and short-term planning and scheduling problems.
Evaluates project schedules with respect to industry norms and provides analysis to Project Managers, Project Controls Manager, Capital Planning Managers, and Management.
Supports project managers in the evaluation of alternate capital strategies considering cost and schedule limitations.
Represent the planning & control group in the development of data interfaces for third party project systems, as required.
Required Skills

Must possess experience in the execution of multi-discipline engineering work on projects across the complete EPC lifecycle.
Must possess a strong working knowledge of chemical manufacturing plants and/or related industries.
Understands and can demonstrate how to break down work, sequence and plan it, and time-phase it so that it transforms ideas into completed facilities.
Demonstrates strong analytical skills and data analysis.
Understands and can apply accounting principles as they are used on capital projects.
Is proficient using Primavera, SAP, MS Office systems and other data management, accounting or project management systems.
Demonstrated ability in planning, cost reporting and forecasting.
Ability to clearly and concisely communicate critical path activities, risks and project tracking metrics.
Ability to manage the reporting and forecasting of a portfolio of many, simultaneous projects, globally.
Ability to consolidate data into key metrics and communicate them effectively.
Required Experience

BS degree is preferred
10+ year's relevant experience in a professional technical capacity involving capital project planning, management and/or controls, preferably in the Chemicals industry.
Prior experience supporting projects over $50M to $100M range is preferred
